WATERFORD, MICH. - August 25, 2011 - Aerodynamics Inc. (ADI) announced today that
the company and it subsidiary, ADI Shuttle Group LLC, has been acquired by Scott
Beale, former president, founder and co-owner of FlightWorks. Terms of the acquisition
were undisclosed. Headquartered in Waterford, Mich., ADI is a full-service flight
and maintenance repair firm that operates under Part 121, 125, 135 and 145 of the
Federal Aviation Regulations. The company's specialties include corporate shuttles,
charter services, aircraft management, and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO)
services. ADI headquarters will remain in Michigan at the Oakland County International
Airport.
"The acquisition will allow ADI to better serve the needs of corporate and government
clients by providing an expanded fleet and broader service area," said Beale, who
will contribute more than 20 years of experience in aviation operations to the ADI
leadership team. "I admire ADI's long history of providing the industry with diverse
flight solutions while focusing on safety, quality, integrity and long-term relationships.
Moving forward, ADI will remain dedicated to improving customer service and providing
every client with a comfortable and safe flying experience."
Beale will assume the role of chairman and chief executive officer of ADI, and Don
Reppert will join the company as senior vice president of sales and marketing. Cheryl
Bush will remain in her position as ADI's president, and Rick Appleman will continue
to serve as chief financial officer. Together, Bush and Appleman will oversee the
day-to-day operations of ADI's Waterford headquarters. Bob LeMay, a familiar face
in ADI's MRO operations for the past four decades, will continue to promote technical
services throughout the Midwest. Plans are currently underway to open an ADI location
in Atlanta this fall.
The company will continue to fulfill their contracts with a long list of clients
including Fortune 100 corporations, professional sports teams, small and mid-size
corporations, and both high-profile and private individuals.
